Ingredients:
2 cups pecans, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, beaten eggs, vegetable oil, and buttermilk. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
Add the Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in the self-rising flour and salt, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the Pecans: Add the vanilla extract and gently fold in the chopped pecans.
Prepare for Baking: Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
Cool and Serve: Allow the Pecanbread to cool in the dish for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
